Founded: 1991 by Barbara Larsen
One day as I was walking down the hall of a local skilled nursing facility to visit one of my clients, I passed a social worker whom I did not recognize. A spontaneous question arose in my mind: Why don't I know this woman who may be a valuable colleague? I sensed that those of us who are health care professionals need to come together for support and advocacy, as we, in turn, support and advocate for the family caregivers and their loved ones. The Elder Care Providers' Coalition is the result of that encounter.
The mission of the Elder Care Providers' Coalition is to provide access to education and resources for professional care providers in order that they may enhance the quality of services for older adults and family members of Nevada County.
Our goal at the Elder Care Providers' Coalition is to have a yearly educational conference on current topics for senior caregivers and professionals. Some years we mini educational speakers throughout the year instead. If you would like to go on our email list to be notified about future speakers or conferences please email us (to the email above) and we will let you know of any upcoming speakers.
Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 12:00 - 1:15 pm at:
Hospice of the Foothills
11270 Rough and Ready Hwy, Grass Valley
We have this meeting during lunch and we encourage you to bring a lunch and a drink.
Our meetings are every month September through July.
We will cancel the meeting if
it is a snow day.
